RAVPower 25000mAh Outdoor Portable Solar Power Bank
The RavPower solar panel battery device would easily power your larger more power hungry mobile phones and tablets. With 25000mAh it sure carries some juice. It is a very fast charger compared to many other brands (some taking as long as 120 hours to fully charge), RavPower is reported to recharge the on-board battery in as little as 80 hours going from zero charge and sitting in direct sunlight.
It is compatible with both USB A and USB C which gives you the option to juice-up all your small to mid-sized gadgets with the appropriate cable. It is perfect for emergency situations but can also be used on an everyday basis if you're out on the road a lot.
How long does it take to get a full charge?
The solar panel is relatively small compared to the capacity of the battery and is more useful for keeping it topped off than for giving it a complete charge. It would actually take at least a day in strong sun to charge it from empty. If you do need to charge faster than that while off grid there are some auxiliary folding solar panels you can buy.
If you want to do the math yourself the solar panel puts out 300mA (300 milliamps per hour) and the capacity of the battery is 25000mAh (2500 milliamp hours total) so 25000mAh/300mA=8.33 hours (capacity divided by charge rate equals amount of time to charge). Depending on where you are and the time of year you may only achieve peak out put for 2-3 hours per day so the real charging time could be quite a bit longer.
While many of these portable solar charging units are described as being waterproof they are not. You should never submerge them under any liquid. They can handle a bit of rain and even a downpour. Also please note that this unit doesn't come with a DC Adapter.
